SAMIRA was unlucky. She was captured by the workers from the kill shelter San Antón. No one was informed and so she was invisible. A few weeks after, they decided to ask us to take her out. She was soaking, undernourished, weak and she had a serious problem in one of her hind legs. First we had to pamper her and make sure she was strong for her to go through anesthetics and x-rays.
A few days after arriving at one of our foster families, she saw she was on season. We immediately gave her vitamins and minerals so that the bleeding wouldn’t make her even weaker.
The orthopedist recommends we remove the head of the femur to avoid pain and make sure she can move her hind leg and improve her walking ability.
