MILA belonged to a hunter who didn’t want her anymore, but he didn’t want to abandon her or take her to the dog pound. Her name is short for “Milagros” which means “miracle” in spanish because her mother died whilst giving birth and so she was raised by another galga but she had little milk so the hunter didn’t know if MILA would survive.
MILA is somewhat timid and submissive, but we are sure that with love and time she will soon be much more confident.
UPDATE JANUARY 2020: MILA has been attacked by one of our dogs. MILA is now scared to play and run. Unfortunately the dog that attacked her cannot be rehomed as she is a panicked dog and is only confident with my mother and me. She has never done this to any of the other dogs, but she dislikes poor MILA. MILA urgently needs a foster or adoptive family in eithe Holland, Germany or Switzerland.
