POPEYE is one of our recent rescues. He was handed in to us by his owner: a hunter with a bad reputation. He was taken to our foster family in Sevilla. He was dehydrated and terrorized. But he was too scared and would not settle in, so we decided to bring him home.
POPEYE has only recently started to recover from his owners’ abuse and now that he’s in a home without men, he feels safer. He’s a real beauty with stunning eyes which are full of fear.
His last owner had him in a barn, from where POPEYE wanted to escape. His nose is pink due to the scar he had from trying to open the barn door. Some white hair is slowly growing back.
